Vitae Guide 2023

The ratings awarded to our wines by the AIS’s authority are confirmation: keep it up. Land, vineyard, soil, and respect for the area’s vocation.
And we will continue along this path.

This is what the AIS guide writes about us: “Elegant and refined wines that respect varietal characteristics. This was the wine project that Otto Casonato, the winery’s owner, envisioned when investing in the vineyards of Gramogliano, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The skilled hands in the cellar of Giovanni Bignucolo – with more than half a century of harvests – and those of Simone Desabbata in the vineyards are bringing to life what once seemed it could only be an aspiration, but which has become a beautiful reality celebrating Friuli’s intrinsic qualities through native grape varieties such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Pignolo”

We would like to highlight Pignolo 2015 and Gramogliano 2020, both of which received the 4 Vines rating, indicating “wines with an outstanding stylistic and organoleptic profile”
